The components of a Beit haMikdash

"These are the essential elements of construction of the House [Beit haMikdash]: A sanctuary, a Holy of Holies, and a space called ulam in front of the sanctuary – together, these three constitute the heichal.

"A divider should surround the heichal, distant from the structures inside, like the wall surrounding the yard [of the Mishkan] in the wilderness. The space surrounded by that divider is like the yard of the ohel moed [Mishkan], and it is called azarah.

"Collectively, all of this is called Mikdash."
